On the morning of April 19th, at the Ben Avery FITA Range in Phoenix, Arizona, archers from across the state took to the line for the 2025 Arizona State Outdoor JOAD Championships. Andrea Ciotinga, representing Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Archery program, led the Recurve U21 Women with a strong 590. The headwind did little to deter her consistency. Ryann Hempleman of Arizona followed with 527, while Trinity Howard from Superstition Archers secured third place with a 500.
Compound U21 Women: Krebs vs. O’Brien
A thrilling matchup unfolded in the Compound U21 Women’s division. Katherine Krebs of Desert Sky Archers took the top spot in qualification with 632, just edging out Ella O’Brien of Arizona. These two competitors have faced off more than 10 times in the past few years, and it doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon. Seane Garra of the Corner Kidz Az rounded out the top three with a 552, highlighting a mix of power and precision in a wind-challenged event.

The Compound U21 Men’s division was showcase of experience as it was Desert Sky Archers who ruled the range.

Allen started with a modest 285 in Round 1 but stormed back with a stellar 333 in Round 2, bringing his total score to 618.
